Suit You, Sir!

Nice threads, boys....

Nice threads, boys....

Several people have commented on the natty new suits our gentlemen singers are wearing in the Vocal Vices publicity shots. We love them too!

They are genuine American Zoot suits, bought from an Italian suit company based in Harlem, New York. Finding them involved hours of research on the web, careful measurement of our tenor’s shoulder width to check he would fit into his jacket, and equally careful colour choices to ensure all the chaps looked great!

One thing we had not quite bargained on was the level of import duty and taxes we would need to pay, to get the suits into the UK. By the time we’d paid all the monies due and the postage, the price had almost doubled, but hey, who cares. Only the best for our boys…

Full Steam Ahead

Preparations for Vocal Vices are steaming ahead here at Hatstand Opera. The final repertoire choices are being hotly debated, and we’ve just commissioned a trio of special arrangements from our resident composer, Bryan.

If you would like to book Vocal Vices for 2009, may we suggest you get your skates on. Already, we have only a couple of dates available in June 2009, and the autumn weekends are proving popular too!

Email us with your date requests, and we’ll get right back to you!
